Project Manager Sr
The Enterprise Analytics Hub promotes a new way of thinking and collaboration to drive Anthem’s enterprise strategy. The Hub has accountability for efforts to derive critical clinical and business insight from Anthem’s rich healthcare ecosystem to improve healthcare quality, safety, access, and affordability. This team partners with Anthem’s business units to set analytics priorities, build new advanced analytic capabilities, conduct hypothesis-driven discovery with an end-to-end mindset, and drive value creation through the production of breakthrough insights that are utilized to propel our growth. The Project Manager Sr role is an essential leadership position in both facilitating insights and turning them into action. Leaders in this role will develop broad, robust relationships across Anthem and practical skills that will serve them in career growth for years to come.
The Project Manager Sr is responsible for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of multiple Analytics Hub projects. This leader promotes cross-functional team collaboration, adherence to established goals, and management of project progress. Possesses awareness of significant contributing factors to manage project change, demonstrates a solid understanding of the end to end business processes, critical IT dependencies, and relationships across the Enterprise to foster alignment.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
Works with Domain leader to determine project scope; develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans
Coaches and mentors project team members
Responsible for end-to-end time and milestone management as the key partner of the Domain Leader. Organizes cadence of key executive meetings, working team sessions, cross-organization alignment. Includes calendaring, recording meetings, meeting minutes. Also includes management of artifacts and collaboration tools (such as Microsoft Teams, repository of key data, etc.)
Remediates issues observed across team (such as misalignment, lack of time being spent on project, etc.) and escalates when appropriate
Develops training plans for insight adoption to facilitate business actions
Be an advocate of continuous improvement and industry recognized best practices in Agile
Serve as integrator of work and key thought partner to the Domain Leader
BA/BS in a related field
minimum of 5 years professional project management experience required during which at least 3 years are spent leading and directing project tasks, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
