Precision Insights Health Economist Director
The Precision Insights Health Economist Director is responsible for establishing and managing a team of internal consultants who will collaborate with key stakeholders to drive ongoing innovation of Anthem’s Precision Insights portfolio of data, analytics and reporting to generate actionable insights. The Analytics Director will promote collaboration between Sales, Account Management and Clinical teams and Anthem data, analytics and reporting functions to support insights-driven solution for member-specific insights and total population health management.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Establishing roles and responsibilities for Precision Insights Advisory Services staff and developing team roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders; training and managing team members
Providing subject matter expertise on statistical and financial analyses to support product development opportunities and enhance client reporting capabilities to increase engagement and develop new business opportunities
Interfacing with internal data and engineering teams to communicate and support development of clinical and financial analytical models that anticipate and address client needs for total population health management
Integrating existing and new analytics capabilities into enterprise-wide data / analytics strategies roadmaps for influential functional areas
Managing consistent and effective articulation of data, analytics and reporting capabilities to support a compelling sales story to clients, prospects, brokers and consultancies regarding Anthem’s value as a total population health partner, including leading position paper development
Monitoring relevant peer-reviewed literature, industry trends and competitor positioning and movements with respect to data and analytics to identify market-differentiating opportunities for innovation at Anthem
Managing analyses of comprehensive data, client business priorities and workforce health issues to determine current-state population health / clinical risks, opportunities and financial impact to identify client-specific gaps, trends and opportunities for data-driven solutions
Supporting Account Management and Clinical teams in direct discussions with clients, prospects, brokers and consultancies on an as-needed basis
Advanced degree in health-related statistics, economics, data science or informatics
Demonstrated experience in client reporting and analytics, account management, consulting and/or business management
Knowledge of leading big data solutions and ability to manipulate large sets of data
Strong leadership, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Requires Bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience leading project teams, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Knowledge of IM technologies, organizational structure, and customer information needs. Prior leadership or management experience preferred. Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion.
