The Business Analyst III will support the launch and ongoing execution of marketing automation projects for Group Retiree Solutions Medicare plans and will serve as liaison between the business, Anthem IT, and vendors to translate complex business needs into application software.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.
Develops project plans, and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the business unit.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Manages validation of a high volume of data inputs and outputs, including research and resolution of errors, issues and data anomalies.
Manages progress reporting and statistics to deliver program status reporting to executive leadership.
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serve as an expert for the GRS Marketing team with regard to navigating Anthem IT resources and planning methodologies to execute against SAFe Agile constructs.
It is preferred that this position be located at the Anthem Virginia Beach, VA office. However, a highly qualified candidate from the following areas may be considered: Norfolk, VA; Tampa, FL; or Wallingford, CT.
Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis and process refinement experience that includes knowledge of marketing technology systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced that demonstrates an equivalent background.
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel is strongly desired.
Must be detail orientated and able to meet deadlines.
Data analysis or marketing automation experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, and experience in statistical analysis is a plus.
