Location: REMOTE. Prefer Richmond, VA; Norfolk, VA; Atlanta, GA; or Mason, OH but will consider candidates from other areas within the US.
Anthem’s Whole Health, Advocacy, and Provider Platform (WHAP) Organization is looking to hire a Digital Product Strategy Director. This high-performing individual contributor will play a key role in driving the continued evolution of how we shape and drive digital experiences at Anthem. They will both support the organization’s business partners in the identification and deployment of innovative solutions, and collaborate with our external business partners (large, national employer plan sponsors) through design thinking workshops and related ideation and prioritization activities to develop product solutions that meet client, consumer, and provider needs.
This role requires understanding of the client’s business goals, objectives, business processes, and to develop problem statements to solve against. You’ll be creating insights and strategies, along with tactics that can be prioritized and incorporated into a roadmap. You will be responsible to ensure that the vision and approach is backed by evidence for buy-in with our businesses and clients. You will influence the technology strategy as well as the overall direction, and work towards internal and external alignment along the way. You’ll lead client meetings/presentations and workshops and display strong communication skills as you own and lead discussions. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Work with business partners both internal and external to evaluate digital concepts, opportunities, and vendors to assess their value and how they best fit into the existing ecosystem of solutions.
Partner with select digital platform teams and key stakeholders to develop strategic roadmaps, competitive benchmark assessments, and identify or evaluate potential solutions that can support the market offer.
Gather and assess market requirements through competitive intelligence and emerging trends, stakeholder and consumer feedback; synthesize internal and external data and intelligence (primary and secondary) to uncover trends, and ultimately develop strategies, programs and solutions that enable achievement of the desired outcomes.
Research and evaluate new digital market concepts / solutions and determining if and how they would best fit into the existing portfolio of services.
Turn insights into actionable and evidenced-based strategies and tactics.
Run process mapping workshops with the client to understand how their digital operations work.
Create journey maps of the current experience, identifying pain points and opportunities along the way.
Conduct ideation workshops that that not only drive solutions, but also prove the value of co-creation to our clients.
Work with business partners and foster multidisciplinary collaboration to both create resulting business cases and ensure the deployment of solutions that engage target populations and address market needs.
Partner with leaders and associates in the broader enterprise digital solutions organization to align priorities and strategies.
Create presentations and present findings, insights, and recommendations to both teammates, business leaders, and clients--always with a flair for storytelling.
BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience in solution strategy, digital product management and development of digital software products; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
5+ years of experience working in a UX/CX strategy capacity and development of digital software products.
5+ years of experience defining a Product Strategy, a digital product roadmap to that strategy, envisioning outcomes, and defining KPIs to measure against them.
5+ years of experience in journey and process mapping.
5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams.
5+ years experience with data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis to determine product strategy.
A portfolio of strategy accomplishments that show the coming together of findings and insights into a vision; examples of journey maps and workshop planning.
Previous healthcare experience; consumer, clinical, provider digital transformation preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence in communicating, defending, and building consensus around your findings and insights.
