Senior Manager Digital Operations

Preferred location: Atlanta GA Other locations will be considered. (This position is eligible for WFH)

The Senior Manager Digital Operations oversees a combined digital and operations unit; executes or supports strategies to deliver industry leading digitized service results. Manages a single application (or the equivalent capital and/or level of responsibility and complexity). Serves as subject matter expert for other areas of the company as well as within the department. Manages operational risk. Oversees and implements new subsystems, procedures and techniques; broad knowledge of the function/area being managed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Support effective achievement of digital operations organizational objectives. Plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of a unit within blended Digital Operations organization. Supports objectives of the company and the blended Digital Ops organization.

How you will make an impact:

Primary duties include, but are not limited to: • Responsible for key contributions to digitization initiatives that demonstrates understanding of current and future operational business processes that digitization does/can enable. • Obtains & manages resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things accomplished within unit of responsibility. • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. • Participates with peers and digital operations leadership to deliver on tactical plans and objectives. • Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity plan are implemented, monitored, and updated on a recurring basis. • Manages, delivers and supports system solutions that enable the operations of functional areas on a 24x7x365 basis. • Responsible for managing project contributions & ensuring teams are meeting production (inventory levels, aging and quality) and takes immediate corrective actions as needed. • Hires, trains, coaches and evaluates performance of direct reports. • Provides leadership in motivating subordinates to maintain high production and quality levels. • Develops a strong team through training and effective organizational development practices. Manages direction of information system and programming activities of technical staff. • Leverage reporting and analytics tools, continually monitors procedures and operational metrics to ensure these are met by staff. • Manages across geographically diverse associates and vendor partners. • Builds strong partnerships with market and digital leads, Benefits Administration, Provider Engagement and Contracting, Sales and Internal Audit. • Effectively interfaces with external contacts, e.g. customers, vendors and agencies. • May be accountable for deliverables of a third party or vendor. • Manages multiple cost centers and/or plan of record projects Provides policyholder relationship management.


Minimum Requirements:

• Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years of experience leading technology (application development, configuration, maintenance or implementation and support) teams and/or cross functional project (technology and operations) teams with 3 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
