Director Product - Data Science & Insights

Preferred Location: Anywhere within a 50-mile radius of an Elevance Health Office

Director Product - Data Science & Insights directs solution suite activities focused on setting and achieving tactical and strategic goals. This position will be within the Product Management Team within the Advance Analytics and Services (AAS) department. The products this Director will be responsible for is to support the Program Integrity (Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Error) to ensure proper payments to legitimate providers for reasonable services provided to eligible members. This position will be on a team of Product Managers working directly with the business and with the IT development teams that enable the business to drive efficiency and compliance. Focus will be on including technologies that are more cutting-edge and capabilities including more technologically advanced concepts including use of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, as well as best in class industry capabilities in both technology and Health Care domain. This position will also perform some responsibilities within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) model.

The products this Director will be directly responsible for will include the use of Artificial Intelligence based Models and Visualization and Consumption technical to help find trends in the marketplace and new opportunities to ensure proper billing, coding and compliance to health care regulations, contracts and services.

How you will make an impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Develops Strategic and Tactical Product Roadmaps for the Advanced Analytics Products using AI models to find new leads and insights within Claims, Providers and Member space.

• Ensures methodologies are aligned with business objective and established strategic framework.

• Manages business plan to meet corporate objectives within established budget targets.

• Directs the management of solution area performance results. Directly partner with VPs of the organization in order to deliver value and results.

• Recommends opportunities and plans to achieve growth and efficiencies aligned with corporate objectives.

• Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise technical solutions and partners with IT to deliver information to business customers.

• Ensures the quality and integrity of all data and business information for internal and external customers.

• Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Will have Product Owners to partner in the delivery and execution of the products.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires BA/BS degree; 8-10 years experience in Business Information; prior management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Experience in the use and applicability of different Artificial Intelligence Models. (Able to partner with data science).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner in building Roadmaps, backlog management using tools such as Aha, JIRA, JIRA Align, etc

• Experience overseeing Visualization products using any of the tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

• Certifications or training in Product Management such as Pragmatic, POPM (Product Owner, Product Management) certification from Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

• Experience in cloud hosted services and products within a cloud environment (e.g. Amazon (AWS), or Google Cloud (GCP))

• MBA preferred.
