The Contract Specialist, Senior is responsible for initiating, preparing and/or revising group health contracts for large and alternative funded groups.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with Legal SMEs and Contraxx Professional Services to build/leverage templates, signature workflows, language library, reporting, user roles and UAT.Researches group benefits and rating history and makes recommendations.
Analyzes complex specifications and ensures that plan features are included.
Maintains automated tracking system.
Creates boilerplate documents and inserts, optional paragraphs, benefit options for manuals containing policy form approved language.
Performs basic research to determine the legal names of group, type of benefit, and rating mechanism required, as well as the status of the group at time of request.
Creates and maintains related databases.
Responds to plan personnel or groups regarding status of documents.
Answers questions about contracts and amendments.
Coordinates and distributes workload and assists in solving non-routine problems among contract specialists.
May provide guidance to other Contract Specialists.
Requires a H.S. diploma and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
