Location: Work at home, remote based in the states of either North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia or Indiana

The Pharmacist Clinical is responsible for managing the pharmacy department production and operations processes as well as any pharmacy department programs established to maintain departmental performance quality and to promote cost-effective drug utilization. The primary role is to support and management of Clinical Quality Pharmacy Programs for Medicaid North Carolina Clients. Will also be a backup to the Behavioral Health Clinical Pharmacist Program Mgr.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Establishes and executes clinical intervention programs

  • Oversight and management of Pharmacy Quality Programs to support HEDIS and NCQA measures.

  • Collaborates with the Care Management team to improve medication compliance and reduce hospital re-admissions

  • Developing and implementing clinical information and education programs for internal and external clients

  • Establish, implements and evaluates clinical quality programs

  • Performing drug utilization analyses

  • Participating in and presenting during pharmacy department meetings, and any internally or externally administered pharmacy-related audits when necessary

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist

  • Minimum 2 years of managed care pharmacy (PBM) experience or residency in lieu of work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Must possess an active, unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh)

  • PharmD preferred

  • Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills
