Responsible for the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Reviews patient medical records, interviews patients and measures vital signs. Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication. Prepares treatment room; assists physician with procedures; cleans and sterilizes equipment. Performs venipuncture, urine dipstick, blood glucose testing, PT/INR, HgB, wound culture, foley catheter care and insertion, enteral tube feeding and care. Facilitates patient transfers to alternate level of care.
Requires an LPN or LVN; 2 years of experience as an LPN/LVN; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Current LPN/LVN license in the applicable state required. For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
