In this role you will be the Local Large Group Segment Finance Lead supporting the Large Group Segment business team. This role provides a great opportunity to learn more about the large group segment (51+) and be closely involved with the development of new strategies to drive growth and improved performance in Anthem’s largest commercial line of business.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

•brainstorm and model new strategies to drive growth for the large group segment

•participate as an active member of the Large Group Segment team and provide financial leadership

•collaborate with state finance leads and finance leadership to better understand what is happening in each market, identify new opportunities to drive growth, and improve execution of strategies

•conduct financial analysis and reporting to understand trends, variances and identify opportunities for margin and operational improvement

•reporting of monthly close, forecast, and budget to Large Group Segment team (includes sub segment close reporting for Labor and Student)

•development of five year targets by state and drivers of growth

  • Requires BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; 10 years ofprogressively more responsible experience in a high level financial analysisposition and experience supporting senior management;priorleadership experience;or any combination of education and experience, which wouldprovide an equivalent background.

  • CPA, CFM, CMA, MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.

  • Strong proficiency withMS Excel.

  • Experience with OracleHyperion a plus.

  • Proficiency with MSPowerPoint preferred.

  • Ability to effectivelycommunicate.
