Location: This position can be located in California, Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH, Atlanta, GA; Virginia Beach, VA or Any Anthem Office Location
Compliance Consultant
Position responsibilities are focused on meeting Anthem’s contractually required reporting into State regulatory bodies, including but not limited to:
The identification of new or modified reporting requirements
Communicating report specifications, including required reporting components; reporting timelines; formatting and template preferences
Working across health plan and corporate business areas to identify report business owners
Timely report submissions into regulatory agencies
Facilitating report issue resolution
Maintaining reporting repositories, including report metric tracking systems
Establishing strong partnerships across the Anthem organization to meet position responsibilities and goals
At the advanced level, report, communicate, research contracts, regulations, and reporting requirements
Provide advanced level support, as regulatory reporting subject matter expert, to regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments.
At the advanced level, analyze and extract regulatory data, documentation for compliance with requirements
Participate in regulatory reporting compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validate compliance levels, and map reporting processes, draft corrective actions/remediation plans for delinquent and/or inaccurate reporting
Conduct investigations, document findings, update stakeholders and leadership on reporting developments and issues, comply with notification requirements, and ensure corrective actions are made
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS, 3-5 years of health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access)
Ability to work within databases
SharePoint experience is a plus
Experience with managed care and experience with reading and understanding Medicaid contracts is an asset
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
Minimal travel may be required
