Infrastructure Svcs Analyst II
Solves problems, performs analysis, researches, and tests functions for systems and networks. Implements, monitors, and operates systems and networks. Recommends and performs system and network upgrades.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provides second level trouble support; solves randomly occurring problems
Performs implementation tasks for systems and networks; executes testing
Performs system and network upgrade tasks utilizing change control
Designs and configures vendor services orders for repetitive services and oversees implementation
Compiles data in support of equipment and user relocations or system migrations
Performs simple configuration changes to meet business requirements under supervision
Responds to Level 3 and 4 change and problem requests; participates in level 1 or 2 incident recoveries with minimal supervision
Remains up-to-date on information regarding relevant platform technologies
Forecasts and budgets for production support growth and/or enhancements
Infrastructure Svcs Analyst Senior
Solves problems, performs analysis, researches, and tests functions for systems and networks.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to
Provides trouble resolution on complex problems
Leads implementations for systems and networks
Develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation
Represents major upgrades and reconfigurations in change control
Designs and analyzes mix of vendor services meeting business requirements; maintains relationship with key vendors
Leads lights-on initiatives to consolidate equipment and/or implement business relocations.
Performs capacity analysis
Recommends and implements capacity increases
Serves as the technical escalation for results of preventative maintenance routines; supervises preventative maintenance
Performs the most complex operations and administration tasks
Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree in related field; 3 - 6 years of experience required in a support and operations role in any of the following areas: servers, networks, telecommunications, storage, mainframe, operating systems, middleware, disaster recovery, collaboration technologies, hardware/software support or other infrastructure services role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Multiple trade certifications and/or continuing education preferred. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, participating in projects, and capable of resolving most incidents and configuration changes required. Demonstration of strong mentoring skills preferred.
Scripting background JSON/Python preferred, but not required
Automation - Know and understand basic rules of creating good APIs, how http works, and how to create JSON/XML files
Experience with PowerBI, Dynatrace and Splunk, preferred, but not required
