ISNP Market General Manager, CareMore Health
The General Manager will serve as the business & operational leader for a multi-state market and is responsible for leading CareMore’s local business and clinical operations to successfully deliver on organization and market goals, including operational excellence, financial success, growth, and clinical outcomes. The General Manager will be partner with the National Clinical Director, who holds accountability for clinical results market-wide and leads the clinical strategy and team. The General Manager will have overall P&L accountability for market performance and management responsibility for clinical operations, business development, health plan account management, community and provider partnerships, and be responsible for successful hiring, retention, staff development, and performance management. This is a significant business and operations leadership role in an organization with proven results and a national footprint. As such, candidates should have proven team management experience and the ability to develop and deepen relationships across the region and the broader organization.
Desired Competencies & Duties
Strong communications and executive presence
Strong strategic managed care perspective for complex populations and ability to lead expansion of services across Medicare Advantage ISNP population.
Roll-up your sleeves attitude and ability to work in an agile “start-up” environment, including the ability to lead within ambiguous settings; strong team-building and presence; internal motivation and drive; and track record of delivering results
Experience hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and evaluating performance of direct reports
Able to flex between strategy development and operational execution
Experience managing costs / budgets for care delivery partnerships, including capitated and / or value-based payment models
Strong belief in and passion for CareMore’s clinical model and care philosophy
Strong business development experience, knowledge of CMS regulatory guidelines, ability to drive partnership and execution with key stakeholders, including health plan leadership, community organizations, and major provider partners
Aptitude for strategic thinking with the ability to identify, leverage, and spread best practice while demonstrating a continuous innovation mindset
Ability to forge strong relationships with physicians and other healthcare leaders, and identify new opportunities to support CareMore’s growth
Strong strategic and operational analytic capabilities, including financial analysis and budgeting, and facility with PowerPoint, Excel, and other management tools / clinical applications
Work Location and Travel Expectations
Based in market with travel within the defined scope to support the market, team, and operations, as well as periodic travel for growth opportunities, and other markets or leadership meetings (overall 70-80% in-market, 20-30% travel).
5-10+ years of experience in care delivery operations and leadership or equivalent across top-tier care delivery, consulting, managed care, or other healthcare organizations
Master’s (MBA, MHA) or equivalent experience in relevant field preferred
