Financial Analysis Manager-
Preferred Location- Virginia Beach or Remote
Oversees the creation of BH reporting and performs financial analysis and reporting on Anthem markets and lines of business. Includes monthly preparation and analysis of management reports, preparation of weekly reporting, and helps in the calculation and preparation of journal entries. Coordinates across functional areas to ‘tell the story’ and provides input to be able to drive actions and cost of care (CoC) initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Prepares budgets, forecasts, trend analyses and expense accruals.
Provides information for various monthly journal entries.
Compiles and prepares standard and adhoc financial reports
Assist in the creation of the MFR report
Responsible for preparing, but not limited to, the following reports
Daily census reports
Monthly reports to the markets
Weekly claims summary reports
Research and analyze utilization management reports to identify trends and initiatives to impact the CoC and prepares and presents those to leadership
Assist with the updating the outlook monthly
Assist with the annual budget preparation
Assist with developing and implementing CoC savings targets and monitor against those targets
Develop process to reconcile and revenue & claims quarterly
Work with CoC Director on developing CoC initiatives based on the trends found
Ability to coordinate across functional areas (Network Management, Clinical (UM), Finance, Actuarial, and other)
Requires a BS/BA in accounting or finance; at least 5 years budgeting, forecasting and accounting financial reporting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA, CPA, CMA, FSA, and/or CFA preferred.
